"Protecting Refugees in the International Community and in Iran
(PRICI): A Research Workshop", International Studies Journal, Tehran

The International Studies Journal (ISJ) and the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Iran are jointly selecting 75
senior advisors, resident diplomats and their dependents, heads of
state organizations, NGO representatives and post-graduate students
for a research workshop program on international refugee law.
The program will cover three specific issue areas:
1. International refugee law: general and specific conventions;
2. International framework for refugee protection;
3. Iranian initiatives to protect refugees.
Certificate ISJ and UNHCR will award a certificate to all participants
who successfully fulfill the workshop assignments, research, and
exercises. In addition, ISJ and UNHCR will nominate the two best
participants for participation in an international program. Admission
Requirements
1. An accredited degree in law, international relations or a relevant
field of study;
2. Good command of English, French or Persian (simultaneous
translation provided); 3. Two recommendation letters by professors or
sponsoring institutions;
4. Two recent photographs; 5. Letter of application including address,
telephone, email and language of preference (English, French or
Persian); 6. CV/Resume
7. Payment of $150 USD or +/- Rls 1.500.000 (post-graduate students)
or $200 or +/- Rls 2.000.000 for others upon admission. This fee
covers registration, courses, books, ISJ quarterly magazines and
lunch.
