Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 Joint CERN-Fermilab Hadron Collider Physics Summer School, to be held August 16-27, 2010, at Fermilab (Batavia, Illinois, USA).
The School is aimed at preparing young experimental and theoretical physicists for the anticipated discoveries of elementary particles at the Tevatron and Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
On August 16, students will register and may participate in an optional hands-on workshop on Monte Carlo generators (Pythia, MCFM, Herwig, ...). There will be about nine days of lectures, free time to visit some of the facilities at Fermilab, and opportunities for activities in Chicago.
Applications will be accepted starting February 22, 2010, and applications and references are required to be received by March 29, 2010, for full consideration. Some funding may be available to help support a limited number of participants.
More details, updated information and online applications will be found at the school web site: hcpss. fnal.gov/ hcpss10
