Nokia Scholarship is intended to encourage efficient, fast-progressing postgraduate studies. Nokia Scholarships are granted for individuals pursuing a doctoral degree in information or telecommunications technology or in areas supporting the development of these branches of science.
Scholarship can be granted for post-graduate studies in a Finnish university or to a Finnish applicant for post-graduate studies abroad.
The applicant must have a commitment of the supervising professor in the receiving university. The scholarship can be granted at most twice to the same person. The grantees of Nokia scholarships will be published in December 2011 at Nokia Foundation website. The scholarships are paid directly to the grantees.
