Database Laboratory of Nagoya University is seeking outstanding candidates for the post-doc research position. The successful candidate will work as a part of the project for database technologies for cyber-physical systems.
The goal of the project is to develop scalable data processing methodologies for querying/analyzing sensing data based on database/data mining technologies.
Research topic: database research for cyber-physical systems
- sensor databases, stream databases
- spatio-temporal databases, moving objects
- probabilistic databases, uncertain databases

Requirements:
- Research skills in databases/data mining
- Applicants should have a PhD degree in computer science.
- A good level of English is essential.
Duration
- Two years from Fall 2011
- The duration can be extended based on research outcomes and
available budgets
