A PhD scholarship is available at DTU Environment in residual resource engineering with emphasize on sustainable biomass/residues utilization in a biorefinery concept. The overall aim of the project is to develop an innovative process for biomass/residues processing to biofuels (biogas, bioethanol) and high value added products.
The project is a cooperation project between the Technical University of Denmark, and other external partners from resund region. The working place is at DTU, but cooperation with scientists from the partner institutions will take place.
The position will be available from 1 December 2011 and will be supervised by Professor Irini Angelidaki from DTU Environment. The scholarship is funded by EU Programme Interreg IV A.

scholarships for the PhD degree studies are subject to academic
approval and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general
degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements

PhD at DTU Environment
As PhD student at DTU Environment you will be part of the scientific staff and treated as such.
We

international environment with an international MSc education and 60 PhD

Salary and appointment terms
The
salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for
PhD degree students. The period of employment is 3 years.
The
successful candidate will be employed at and enrolled as a PhD student
at DTU Environment (www.env.dtu.dk). Annual salary starts at 45,000 EUR
before tax, including pension/holiday pay. The starting date is
negotiable but a quick start is preferred.
