Summer School 'Identity, Innovation and Aging', Germany

The Graduate School “Human Behaviour in Social & Economic Change” at the University of Jena is inviting applications for an international and interdisciplinary Summer School on "Identity, Innovation and Aging"(September 19-26, 2010, Castle Oppurg, Thuringia, Germany).

 

The Summer School aims at addressing three core concepts in Social and Economic Change:
- Identity (under supervision by Amelie Mummendey and Thomas Kessler),
- Innovation (coordinated by Uwe Cantner) and
- Aging (under the guidance of Rainer K. Silbereisen and Stephan Lessenich).
 

Leading international experts from psychology, sociology and economics as well as the Graduate School’s faculty will give talks on selected related topics. Interdisciplinary groups of PhD students, advised by guests, faculty and post-docs, will work on one of the three topics in order to broaden their scientific horizon. The Graduate School promotes an open access Summer School, for which students from outside the Graduate School may apply for participation. Please note that the deadline for applications is 31 July 2010.
