Summer Schools are international courses organized by the IASI Technical University `Gh. Asachi`. They may last from one to four weeks and they normally take place in the summer, mostly outside of traditional academic structures. Summer schools are a new educational instrument of the IASI Technical University `Gh. Asachi`.
They provide a wide range of intensive courses, designed to meet the need to broaden cultural and interdisciplinary studies. The courses are intended for students and recent graduates, and in some cases for specific professional figures.
This educational activity is seen as a meeting point, at a university level, for international students, who will be able to follow lectures held by distinguished teachers and, at the same time, share cultural and every-day experience for a brief intense period.
Description of content This School is addressed to master and doctoral students and professionals interested in Heat Transfer and its application, working or planning to work in the field. The aim is to form professionals skilled in heat transfer enhancement techniques.
Teaching objectives The objective of the School is to provide students with knowledge and expertise of the heat transfer enhancement. In particular, all the aspects of heat transfer techniques will be described, in terms of materials and technologies.
Target group and prerequisites for admission Students should preferably be undergraduate or graduate in engineering, industrial design, architecture, or any field connected with heat transfer engineering. English knowledge is required. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their curriculum vitae and their motivation to attend the School.

Faculty of reference: Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering General information The School will be organized in one module of 40 hours of theoretical lessons. All lessons will be delivered in English.
Credits and evaluation There are no credits earned for these lessons.
Admission and fee There is no admission fee. Attendance to all didactical activities, study and working material are free of charge. Lunches from Monday to Friday during lessons days, private bus for transport for the visits out of Iasi city and cultural programme including English speaking guides are subject to reservation and a fee will be charged. Students will receive support and information from Technical University “Gh. Asachi” as regards accommodation (on their own charge) and local facilities. Students will be covered by the standard university insurance. Travel to Romania and meals are not included.
Accommodation and meals Classes will take place at the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering in Iasi, where computer, devices and any other material necessary for didactic activity will be available.
Social programme Visits to artistic and tourist places will be proposed, first of all the historical city of Iasi. Cultural visits will be an important part of the educational activity of the School and an occasion for the students to spend time together and with teachers. During a final ceremony students will receive a certification of completion from the Direction of the School.

- Courses will be every day from 10-14 and 16-20
- Every course will last for 4 hours: a 3 hours presentation with 10 minutes break at every 50 minutes and one hour for discussions (questions and answers)
