Eseu:
According to the English dictionary, photography is the art or process of producing images of objects on photosensitive surfaces. Some say if one wants to become a photographer he can simply go ahead and do it with the right equipment . However, it means so much more to me than just clicking the button and editing the photo with Photoshop. My parents helped me fall in love with photography when I was a child. Since then, my love for it just keeps growing.

What attracts me in photography is that it helps me see and define better what I see. I am much more aware of details, objects when photographing than at any random moments. Through the lenses a whole new world appears , each object gets a new shape. I believe photography is an urge and need to capture the moment, to have the moment frozen forever, cutting a part of reality. It is also the wish of showing something or someone that only you could see that way, at that moment. Having a moment frozen in 25x30 centimeters means the longing for a simpler, less complicated world and the attempt to imagine the world in more simple messages than those complex, modern messages we are confronted with our daily life.

Many people argue that painting or sculpture is a skill but photography is not, because only a well-trained painter can create a unique painting but anyone can use a camera and make nice pictures about anything. Photography is not only about pressing a button. Though there are photographers who cannot excel so they take every possible job, just like taking pictures at weddings or graduations. I believe that I can give more to people with my own photography, trying to transmit true feelings, reflections of life. The key element, I think, is my desire to create. I do not consider myself an artist, I simply have that irresistible urge to create, to take my camera with me even when I go shopping. Good photos are not just the ones which have been planned carefully. The great challenge is to show something that others could not see at that moment. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you own that single second.

As being rather interested in fashion and fashion-industry, doing fashion photography is one of my further aims. Being a fashion photographer does not mean only taking pictures of beautiful models with tons of make-up on their faces and unbelievably expensive clothes, walking down the runways. Working as a photographer in the fashion industry can involve anything from the Chanel autumn/winter ready-to-wear collections to one-week-long photoshoots at well-equipped studios with plenty of accessories and gorgeous dresses to choose from. For me, it is much more than requesting endless poses that you can see on the front pages of famous fashion-magazines such as Vogue or Elle. I think it is about self-management and mostly the quality of being able to work flexibly in a team. Thanks to the skills I managed to get through the years I feel myself creative and flexible enough for this type of occupation. I feel that my point of view on life is quite well reflected by my photos and they all prove that this road would be the most suitable for me.

Although many people do not consider photography a profession, and they believe that no formal educational background is necessary, I feel that I should undertake a course if I want to do photography at a professional level. The Glasgow School of Arts, which is internationally recognized as one of Europe`s best universities for creative education and fine arts would be not only a great opportunity, but a perfect road to start out on. Being part of a community that always designs and organizes something very new, something that no one had ever thought of and something that inspires both artists and customers is far above my dreams- but it is not unreachable!
