Applications are now available for two Loweas Scholarship programs, funded by the Loweas Charitable and Educational Foundation. The Loweas Scholarship is available to high school seniors nationwide. The scholarships are funded through Loweas Charitable and Educational Foundation. Since its inception in 1957, Loweas Charitable and Educational Foundation has helped communities nationwide through employee volunteerism and financial contributions. In 2006, the Foundation supported community and education projects across the country through grants totaling more than $15 million.
In 2007, Loweas awarded 358 scholarships totaling more than $450,000 to high school students nationwide based on academic achievement, leadership and community involvement. More than 100,000 students applied for the Loweas Scholarship, which is open to all high school seniors who plan to attend any accredited two- or four-year college or university within the United States. Nearly 4,000 students applied for the Carl Buchan Scholarship, which is open to full- and part-time regular employees, their spouses and dependents of full and part time regular employees.
Eligibility Requirements
The Loweas Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to attend any accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university within the United States. Winners are selected based on leadership qualities, community involvement and academic performance.
Applications
Applications for the 2008 Loweas Scholarship will be accepted from January 1, 2008 through March 15, 2008.
