Two Graduate Schools - One Campus At IUJ, we have two unique, but complementary graduate schools: the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR), and the Graduate School of International Management (GSIM). The GSIR offers three professional two-year Master's Degree programs: The International Development Program (IDP), the International Relations Program (IRP) and the International Peace Studies Program (IPSP). The GSIM offers two professional Master's Degree programs: a two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a one-year Master of E-Business Management. The curriculum in both schools is taught entirely in English. For non-native speakers, a full range of English language courses is available. Many students also take advantage of our extensive Japanese Language Program. Both programs help to enhance the campus' lively bilingual environment. Moreover, students can expand their international experience through our Student Exchange Program by choosing from one of 36 renowned institutions worldwide. A Global Community Our small, community-sized student body of about 270 represents about 50 different countries. Students from around the globe bring to the classroom and campus a rich variety of cultures, perspectives and work experience from both the public and private sectors. An International Faculty IUJ's talented and diverse international faculty are distinguished through their various publications, research, and professional business experience. In addition to our permanent faculty, visiting professors from internationally renowned universities, and guest lecturers from prominent businesses worldwide enhance the classroom experience. Student to faculty ratio is 4:1 ensuring interaction on an individual basis. Location IUJ is situated in Minami Uonuma-shi, approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Niigata City and 230 kilometers northwest of Tokyo. This area of Japan is known as "yuki guni" (snow country) because of the heavy snowfall in winter.
