Stockholm University receives 22 million Euros for a new world-class transdisciplinary research institute Mistra made the decision today to give Stockholm University the largest environmental research grant ever distributed in Sweden. 22 million Euros is to be invested in a new international transdisciplinary institute for research and policy dialogue on sustainable development. Behind the new institute stand the Centre for Transdisciplinary Environmental Research at Stockholm University, the Stockholm Environment Institute, and the Beijer International Institute of Ecological Economics at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Press release Multi-million-crown commitment to new mobile center at Stockholm University The Swedish research financier VINNOVA has decided to grant Stockholm University a so-called VINN Excellence Center. The research environment at Mobile Life Center, to be established at the Campus IT University in Kista, will combine research on new mobile technology and user-friendliness with new ways ofproviding these services to consumers. VINNOVA is allocating up to SEK 70 million to the center in Kista over a ten-year period.
