    Programme Description

    During your studies, you will develop engineering knowledge and you will also learn how to work with the various computer, drawing and test programs used in the aircraft and manufacturing industry. You will also greatly expand your basic knowledge of mathematics and mechanics which you will have acquired at secondary school. You will learn to apply this knowledge to practical assignments, such as designing, developing, researching and testing systems.

    The Aeronautical Engineering department of INHolland University of Applied Sciences Delft works closely with Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). You will be able to make full use of the facilities available at TU Delft. For example, in the first few years, you will get to use the mechanical workshop and the wind tunnels. You will also have access to the university library. TU Delft also possesses a whole range of aircraft components, even extending to complete aircrafts. These too will come in very handy in your study programme.

    Examples of jobs that will be within your reach as an Aeronautical Engineering graduate are:

    * design engineer
    * structural engineer
    * materials and composites engineer
    * modification and repair engineer
    * systems engineer
    * flight test engineer
    * detail design engineer
    * stress engineer
    * weight engineer
    * test engineer
    * manufacturing engineer

    You will graduate from the Aeronautical Engineering programme as a Bachelor of Engineering. You will then be able to work anywhere in engineering. The career prospects are excellent. For example, students are often offered a job before they even conclude their work placement.
