    Final Phase Fair Trade Management
    Bachelor of Agri Systems Management

    Make a difference

There are great disparities in the world. Though the fastest growing economies are now in countries such as India, China and Brazil, many people still do not share the profits.

Typically, many of them live in rural areas and work in agriculture. These are precisely the people for whom you could make a difference.

As a student in the two-year Bachelor's Programme in Fair Trade Management, you would be interested in the world at large and in agriculture in general - and thus in developing the value chain. As a specialist graduate, you could work for tropical producers or producer organisations to develop supply chains for tropical products. You might be based in their region - at the beginning of the supply chain - or in the consumer countries.

This means you need an extensive knowledge - not just about sustainable agriculture, farming systems, and rural livelihoods, but also about the existing value chains. You need to know how to organise farmers to implement quality management, logistic management, and communication, contracts and proposals. In short, you need to be flexible and
solution-oriented. Because it takes a lot to make a difference!
