Programme Description

An English-language new media art degree - Only at Prague College!

• Earn an internationally recognized British Bachelors degree in Fine Art
• Become a multimedia practitioner and artist
• Work directly with renowned artists and specialists
• All in cooperation with Teesside University British University of the Year (Times Higher Education, 2009)

This exciting and unique programme is an opportunity not only to master a wide range of tools in digital media including advanced animation techniques, digital video, web and sound production but to take a step further into artistic multimedia experimentation. You explore electronic, digital, photographic and film media in a specialist fine art learning environment while developing a personal discipline area of choice. The programme offers open access to an ongoing series of studio and laboratory-based workshops with specialists, artists and multimedia professionals.

In the first two years you learn the foundation technical and production skills that create opportunities for employment in a wide range of industries, in particular multimedia and film production studios, TV and radio, online media agencies, advertising agencies, newspapers, web design agencies and nearly any industry connected to the new and multimedia.

The final year of the BA programme enhances your credentials and brings deeper creativity and understanding to your portfolio of work. Graduates can move forward into an increasingly broad range of professional post-graduate study in arts and education, and arts-based residencies. With the support of the local and international arts community you may develop an independent art practice, initiate curatorial and gallery-based exhibitions and as self-employed artists become professional cultural practitioners.
