    Programme Description

Developed in close contact with the NCJT (National Council for Training of Journalists) this degree is an exciting, practical course that develops skills suited to the fast-changing media environment of the 21st century. Students will apply the taught skills they learn in extensive practical work undertaken within and outside the university, and will mix journalism for traditional media outlets with online delivery formats. Specialising in two media formats in the final year, graduates will be highly employable in an industry that demands the very best from its new entrants.

Through a practical and creative approach, you will work in journalistic settings, developing multimedia content, including copywriting, audio, radio, video, TV, photo and graphics, whilst exploring existing and new delivery technologies. A professional working environment with simulated digital newsrooms and audio/video equipped studios will be available to you.

Practical experience in outside media organisations, live university and community news and broadcasting outlets allows you to develop your personal portfolio.
