    Programme Description

    Northern environment places specific demands on the delivery of healthcare and wellbeing services. The ongoing changes in climate, environment and social structures have a significant influence on the health, wellbeing and cultures of Northern residents.

    Maser's Degree Programme in Health and Wellbeing in the Circumpolar Area (MCH) is a multidisciplicary two-year programme of 120 ECTS with partner universities in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia and Canada. The programme is coordinated by the Centre for Arctic Medicine at Thule Institute, University of Oulu, Finland. MCH graduates will be awarded a Master of Health Sciences from the University of Oulu.

    The programme consists of an on-line course package, on-site studies and Master's Theses.

    The programme is open for students holding a Bachelor´s degree in the field of health or social sciences or related field of science. In addition, the applicants must have a sufficient English proficiency. Applicants must document their language skills by a standardised international proficiency test, such as TOEFL or IELTS.
