    Programme Description

Industrial Design focuses on intelligent products, systems and services. Therefore there are engineers required with the ability to match technology to the real needs and wishes of users.

The Master's degree program in Industrial Design is based on four pillars: technology, user focus, design and business which means that it is fundamentally multidisciplinary. The Industrial Design department applies a unique teaching model, in which students in both the Bachelor's and Master's programs learn on a competency-oriented basis. The ability to directly apply what you learn, and to be able to integrate knowledge, skills and attitude, are essential characteristics of the program. Students' progress is monitored by means of half-yearly assessments. One semester of the first Master's year is focused on design, the other semester on design research. The first semester of the second year consists of modules, a Master Class and you will prepare your final Master project, which you will do in the last semester. As a Master of Science in Industrial Design you will have a proactive and multifaceted background in technology covering user research and design as well as technology itself. As a true team player you will be able to respond optimally to issues arising from both industry and the community at large.
