The programme, offers both core courses in quantitative economics and econometrics and a number of elective courses, it has a flexible structure and can be tailored to suit both practitioners and research profiles. Students work closely with distinguished faculty members in a programme designed to meet individual research interests and professional goals. Rimini´s unique location and facilities, its international vocation together with its excellent Faculty of Economics create the best opportunities for students to develop their research talents and to prepare for successful professional careers.
The programme structure provides advanced training in economics while giving the opportunity to specialize in particular areas through optional courses. On completion of EPM, students should have acquired a good training in advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics and some knowledge of work at the frontiers of the subject in specialized areas, so as to be able to have a good understanding and a critical appreciation of economic and financial problems from a theoretical and applied perspective, as is now recognized as the standard qualification for the professional economist wishing to work in private or public sectors or to acquire a research degree. Within the programme students take courses, write a final dissertation under the guidance of a supervisor and participate in other research activities at the Faculty of Economics in Rimini such as workshops, seminars and conferences. EPM participates in the interfaculty programme with LMEC of the Faculty of Economics at Bologna. Students can choose to attend a few courses of the LMEC in Bologna, which will be considered for the completion of the degree programme.
