  • Programme Description This program provides graduates with the opportunity to conduct detailed research in a social science discipline, culminating in the completion of a supervised thesis that shows sound knowledge of the subject matter, independent thought and effective research skills. It also provides the flexibility for students to specialise in more than one discipline. The current research areas include Aquaculture genetics, Cultivation of tropical molluscs, particularly pearl oysters), Nutritional, reproductive and stress, physiology in fish, Nutritional requirements of broodstock and larval stages, Crustacean aquaculture and larval ecophysiology, Settlement cues, biofouling prevention, and marine natural products and Sponge biology and aquaculture.
