    Programme Description

This well established programme is unique in the UK, highly regarded by the meat industry and attracts students from around the world. Currently the programme has seven subject units, a transferable skills unit and an in-depth research project.

Each subject unit is taught in a two week block by research staff who are experts in their own fields. The programme is based at the University of Bristol's Langford site, about 20 km to the south west of Bristol. A part-time option allows industry employees to complete the programme over two to three years.

Each module carries 15 credit points and the research project 60 credits, leading to the award of a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits), a Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or an MSc degree (180 credits). If you register for a certificate or diploma, you may transfer to the next stage of the programme depending on satisfactory progress.
