    Programme Description

The EdD is an advanced programme of study and research at doctoral level. We designed it for professionals in education, training and allied fields who wish to enquire into and develop their professional practice through advanced-level study and research.

    The course allows you to

    * deepen your professional knowledge base in research and scholarship professional policy and practice
    * address in depth issues derived from your own experience and practice
    * develop and apply your expertise in methods of research
    * produce work which makes an original contribution to knowledge and understanding in the area of professional practice

If you complete the four doctorate modules, plus the summative review module, you can also achieve an MProf in Educational Research Studies. The summative review requires you to review and evaluate your learning, which should demonstrate the development of your thinking as a potential educational researcher.

The MProf can be completed in about two years part-time study. This qualification confirms your capacity to complete research and is normally accepted as an entry qualification for our PhD Education - Research Degree.

Visit our education web pages to learn more about our courses, facilities and how we can support your study.

This degree is hosted by the Faculty of Development and Society´s Graduate School. The Graduate School´s website is a communication hub for students and staff engaged in research, information about our research work and useful contact information.
