    Programme Description

    The EUROPHOTONICS Doctorate Program is based on a cooperation of excellent research institutes and universities, with the goal to involve Ph.D. students in cutting-edge research projects benefiting from the variety of the partners.

    Ph.D. candidates work under a joint supervision by one project-leading and one collaborative laboratory in two states. At least one semester will be spent in the co-supervising institution.

    Duration of the program are 3 years

    A double doctoratedegree is awarded by both of the 2 cooperating institutions.

    The Ph.D. research work is accompanied by two week training units per semester in scientific and key competences:

    o Management units: Transferable skills training related to research & industry

    o Scientific units: Participation at international meetings, conferences & schools

    o Technical units: Scientific knowledge for research conduction
