Do you know what an Art Director does? Or want to know the steps they go to to create a fashion spread that you see in a magazine? This course will guide you through the processes and decisions involved in being an art director for traditional magazine photoshoots and introduce you to the way the role has changed (and stayed the same) with the introduction of new media

Course aim
You will develop the skills that are crucial to an Art Director who works on the web and with new technologies. You will understand how to evaluate the impact of creative campaigns for different products, how to distribute a creative offer across different channels and how to distribute image-based content balancing it with all the other elements that work together to deliver an excellent campaign. You will understand how to use images to focus on the specific targets you are aiming at, how to communicate the right mood through images and through the best possible use of all the elements that can help improve Art Direction, from UX to social media copywriting. In this way students will be able to coordinate and supervise all aspects of creative organisation for fashion, e-commerce and content-based website and apps.
