BIO1: Cell-Free Protein Synthesis for NMR and IR Spectroscopy
calendar_month 29 Iul 2015, 00:00
The aim of the course is to give hands on-information about the cell-free protein production and purification. During the course each participant (or a group of participants) will test an own or provided plasmid for cell-free protein synthesis. The synthesis products will be analysed by means of NMR spectroscopy in co-operation of the course CH2.
Course leader
Lecturer: Dr. Anders Pedersen (University of Gothenburg, Sweden)Coordinator: Prof. Janne Ihalainen (University of Jyvskyl, Finland)
Target group
The course is targeted at the advanced undergraduate and especially at graduate students in molecular biology or (bio)chemistry. Basic knowledge of NMR. An own protein purification project is an asset.
Course aim
The most important aims of the Summer School are to develop post-graduates scientific readiness and to offer students the possibility to study in a modern, scientific environment and to create connections to the international science community.
