Whether you are just entering the working world or are still a student, the Bucerius Summer Program in International Business Law prepares you to meet the increasing demands of companies and law firms in the areas of international banking, trade law, consumer transactions and more. The combination of Socratic-style lectures and interactive seminars taught by experienced professors and practitioners ensures that that your intellect remains engaged throughout the program. The variety of courses offered allows you to fine tune your schedule to best fit your personal interests and needs.Courses in the program are taught by distinguished Bucerius and guest professors. In 2015, the following courses will be offered:Business Mediation (Prof. Dr. Lars Kirchhoff & Dr. Felix Wendenburg, European University Viadrina & TGKS Law Firm)Commercial Instruments (Dr. Thomas Krebs, Oxford University & Brasenose College)Corporate Governance in Publicly Traded Corporations (Dr. Carsten Jungmann, Duvinage Lawyers & Bucerius Law School)International Commercial Arbitration (Dr. Maxi Scherer, Queen Mary University of London & WilmerHale)International Commercial Sales (Prof. Dr. Franco Ferrari, New York University & University of Verona)International Mergers & Acquisitions (Dr. Hilke Herchen & John Hammond, CMS Hasche Sigle)Classes take place five days a week, usually between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. As the courses do not meet parallel, you can enroll in as many you wish.Small class sizes and individuals from across the globe guarantee an interactive, international experience and exchange of diverse ideas. Total program enrollment is limited to 45 participants.

Taught by top professors and experienced professionals, the Bucerius Summer Programs attract students and recent graduates from Germany and around the world to Hamburg for our demanding short-term law courses. In 2015, the Bucerius Summer Program in International Business Law will take place for the eighth consecutive year.
Credits info
9.9 ECTS The course-credit system is based on the American Bar Association (ABA) guidelines, with one credit hour being equivalent to 700 minutes of classroom time. European students are able to earn ECTS points. Each course is worth one ABA credit, which is equivalent to two ECTS points.
Fee info
EUR 1800: Students who apply to the Bucerius Summer Program by March 1, 2015 and are accepted in the first round of applications are eligible for a 15% discount off the normal tuition fee.Students who apply between the early bird and final deadline, April 30, 2015, will be charged the full tuition fee.
