Geopolitics is not only a dimension of global risk but also a channel of contagion that can transform a sovereign or a liquidity crisis for instance into a worldwide, systemic failure of the international system. HEC Summer School Program participants of Business & Geopolitics will explore how geopolitics can help decision-makers broaden horizons and enrich their strategies by integrating in their thinking global political and macroeconomic issues.

Course aim
The HEC Paris Summer School Program on Business and Geopolitics helps students to understand the strategic landscape in which decisions are taken; assess business risks and opportunities entailed by geopolitical dynamics; integrate geopolitical analysis in the firm's broader international and risk-mitigation strategies.Summer school students work in diverse teams, hand-in-hand with top HEC Paris professors, and in interaction with leading experts.

Credits info
7 ECTS Upon successful course completion, students earn a Certificate as well as 3 US credits or 7 ECTS credits. (Each student is expected to validate the possibility of credit transfer with their home institution.)

Fee info
EUR 2220: Program fees include: full tuition, on-campus accommodation, student card, welcome barbecue and weekend bus transportation during the program from campus to downtown Paris.

Scholarships
2015 HEC Paris Summer scholarships will be awarded to selected applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, exceptional character and intellectual curiosity. All scholarships are merit-based. Applications are due by February 10, 2015.
