Communicating (in) the City
calendar_month 29 Iul 2015, 00:00
What does The City mean today? And in what ways, if any, are we part of creating the city? This course will explore questions such as these, and many others. The course studies the postmodern city and its myriads of communication structures, which are increasingly dominated by mobile technology (mobile phones and GPS navigation for instance). As the course will focus on the aesthetic expression/performance of life in the city, elements such as communication, technology and the urbane life will be explored. As part of the course we will create an event or intervention in the city %E2%80" which could be in the shape of a flashmob, an impro-theatre an mp3-walk or something entirely different. Creating an event ourselves we will use the theories and principles in practice.
