London and Copenhagen, are two dynamic fashion and lifestyle capital cities that provide ideal Summer study abroad locations to compare and contrast the exhilarating design culture of northern Europe. Copenhagen, the European green capital in 2014, is a standard bearer for cool Scandinavian design, new Nordic cuisine and cosy interiors, that wins many quality of life surveys. This course is intended to explore the contemporary digital print fashion world and to exploit the essence of both cities and schools involved, offering a wide perspective and different approaches in order to create your personal projects. Creativity, research, and lab work will combine with encounters and project revisions that will enrich your personal approach to fashion designDuring this course you will learn research techniques employed by students of the two leading colleges delivering the course (Central Saint Martins in London and KADK in Copenhagen) to create a wealth of visual material for your projects. During the course you will produce 6 printouts or fabric samples of your designs which you will then incorporate into a line of 6 outfit designs, three of which will have placement prints engineered to fit your shape.You will also leave with three final illustrations for your portfolio.
