The course%E2%80%99s thematic content will focus on six issues: 1) film language and audiovisual thinking, 2) the film essay, 3) the ethnographic film, 4) photography and film, 5) working in multiplatform storytelling, 6) music video. These issues will be outlined and discussed in relation to the practical tasks and theoretical challenges they pose. The production projects will feed into these thematic clusters with experiences from the creative processes dealing with creative archives. The student will thus gain both a theoretical and historical overview of the chosen themes and attain a hands-on practical knowledge of audio-visual thinking. In short: the course will develop a thinking practice combining audio-visual skills and knowledge and archival training.
