Digital Methods Summer Course

Every year, the Digital Methods Initiative (DMI) organises an intensive summer course in which students learn and develop internet research techniques for studying societal conditions and cultural change. During the DMI course, participants actively engage in empirical research projects, employing web-specific software tools, such as scrapers and crawlers. The course concludes with an event at which the research projects arepresented.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for students from LERU, U21 and other universities. Students from partner universities within the UvA's Global Exchange Programme should also contact their home international office about scholarship possibilities.
