Course aim
communications skills in work environmentbusiness telephoningpresentation skillsinterviewing skillsreporting skillscreating a professional CV in Englishcreating a cover letterIn the first week of the course the participants will learn how to sound polite and interested in a formal as well as informal context, practising small talk. They will also practise useful skills they will need in work environment, such as telephoning, negotiating skills and presentation skills. They will have the chance to see good and bad examples and to practise the skills in a simulated situation.In the second week the participants will be working on increasing their career prospects. They will create their CVs and learn how to write an interesting, concise but catchy cover letter as well as how to write a formal email to the prospective employer. Last but not least they will learn what to say and what not to say in a job interview and they will role play the situation.So when the course finishes the participants will be prepared to start the job search with good prospects.
Credits info
You will receive an official Certificate of Attendance upon completion of your course which you may use to show evidence of the skills you have learnt during the course and have the credits accepted by your home university.
Fee info
EUR 295: Course fee. Course fee does not include 50EUR Application fee for all registered after 15.5.2015.All courses take place in a new building of University of Split Library. EUR 340: Accommodation fee for a 14night stay at dormitory Spinut in Split (belongs to University of Split). Full board is just 10EUR/day. Everyday afternoon or evening activities organized - sports, weekend trips, parties etc.
