Course aim
The general aim of the school is to translate and transmit the research of this theme conducted by senior scholars into knowledge which benefits junior researchers. The ERiC Summer School offers advanced student of graduate standing working on topics of religious interaction the opportunity to explore important questions for studying religious contacts.Two specific goals guide the work of ERiC:1. Provide and assess exemplary case studies of intra- and inter-religious encounters in Eurasia (which may be extended to include Africa or the colonial Americas) without limitation regarding specific disciplines, timelines, and geographical frame;2. Discuss current theoretical frameworks and critical approaches to the study of religious encounters from comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives.
