Whether we date the beginning of globalization to ancient times, the Middle Ages, the industrial revolution era or the post-World War II period, it is obvious that in the past few decades globalization has had a profound impact on business, finance, politics, culture and last but not least the consumption patterns of citizens of both the developed and developing countries. One result has been new production modes and delivery networks that make it increasingly difficult to understand where all the consumer goods are being made, who are the investors, which forces shape their final price and which countries bear the environmental costs associated with their production.

Course aim
To find out how many global companies mislead their customers.rnTo learn more about the positive and negative aspects of outsourcing in relation to consumer goods.rnTo analyze the latest trends in the global food industry to understand whether we will have enough food to eat in the years to come.

Credits info
Our programs have full accreditation from the Czech Ministry of Education. If you wish to receive credits for attending a summer school, you need to negotiate the amount of credits with your university. In the past many students have counted our programs towards their degree.

Fee info
EUR 680: Early bid applications until January 31, 2015. EUR 750: Final application deadline is until April 30, 2015 for applicants who submit their applications after January 31, 2015.

Scholarships
There are currently no scholarships offered by the SCHOLA EMPIRICA.Most universities have scholarship funds to cover short summer courses connected to the students' fields of study and organized by the authorized educational institutions.
