Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSE&Q) Management Systems in Oil&Gas Sector

The aim of the Summer School is to provide an immersive experience of the HSE&Q fundamental topics through examples of their professional application to the development and implementation of the management systems that stand as a strategic framework to get the stringent requirements given to the Oil and Gas industrial strategic sector as far as Health, Safety, Environment and Quality are concerned. The objective of the HSE&Q Summer School in Pisa is to qualify experts in design, development and management of complex Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Systems for the Oil and Gas Sector.The teaching method will be strongly oriented to cooperation and interaction with teachers and will include contribution from academic research, professional research, expert from O&G companies and main international technical and scientific consultants, published case studies and real cases application from Oil & Gas companies experiences. Daily intensive lecturing (12 days, 8 hours/day, monday to friday). Lectures are organized in six modules, each covering a specific topic. Each lecture consists of 8 hour of lessons and exercises held in class. As a whole, the school is characterized by an operative industrial-oriented approach with specific sessions of the lectures dedicated to the presentation of industrial case studies in which the participants will be interactively involved.

Target group
The Summer School is preferentially oriented to Industrial Engineering-skilled participants (Industrial Engineering students as well as postgraduate and PhD students from all EU and non EU countries; the Summer School is also open to post-doctoral researchers and senior researchers from Universities and research institutes). A maximum of 20 participants will be selected on the basis of their CV.

Credits info
6 ECTS Credits will be acknowledged by the University of Pisa according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), after attendance of the overall Course and submission of a small Thesis (Project Work). Partial attendance to the Course, previously scheduled, will give right to a number of credits proportionally reduced. In any case each participant will receive an Attendance Certificate that certify the total amount of hours followed in the Summer School.In order to be acknowledged of 6 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) from the University of Pisa, the students must positively pass the final test examination and receive a positive evaluation of the project work. Incoming Erasmus students may choose the Summer School as educational activity of their plan.

Fee info
EUR 500: The fees of 500,00 euros are the same for Italian, EU and international students. Fees do not include living expenses and accommodation.
