Course leader
Classes are held in English and Italian by IAAD professors, professionals from the national and international designsystem.

Target group
Students with a high school diploma and students currently enrolled in the 4th and 5th year of high school.

Course aim
From August 30th to September 6th 2015, IAAD organizes a week of workshops for the 6 possible bachelor courses -transportation, product, interior, communication, digital communication, textile & fashion.Through direct experience, students will be able to make the choice of university course in a more conscious way, coming in close contact with the world of creative professions.IAAD chooses Favignana to carry out the first edition of the Summer University with the aim of promoting the natural,historical, artistic and cultural heritage of our country, offering participants the opportunity to spend a week in a unique place, perfect for the summer and away from the bustle of big cities.Owing to the format of the workshop and the special location, method of delivery of lessons involves not only the traditional frequency in the classroom, but also participation in local cultural activities, excursions, workshops on the sea during day and night. The unconventionality of the Summer University encourages lateral thinking, opens the way to new visions, enhances the heterogeneity of the working groups, highlighting cultural diversity and different designapproaches.
