A rare opportunity to work with a leading light from the world of opera: Prof. Gerd Uecker former director of the Semperoper in Dresden. Together with Prof. Jonathan Alder and Janice Alder-Alford, Prof. Uecker is offering a special compact course at the very highest level for young professional opera singers, covering all aspects of theatre life.Calling all singers about to embark on the audition and competition circuit, particularly in German speaking opera houses, and hoping for a permanent engagement. Is your goal an engagement in a German-speaking opera house? Then this new and intensive course is for you!An innovative workshop for young professional singers. A team with experience of Opera at the very highest level are coming together. Professor Gerd Uecker, former Director of the Semper Opera House, Dresden, and author of %E2%80%9E Opernsanger-Traum Beruf%E2%80%9C(%E2%80%9EOpera singer, your dream profession%E2%80%9C), Professor Jonathan Alder, pianist (former Deutsche Oper Berlin and Berlin Philharmonic, accompanist of Christa Ludwig and Cheryl Studer), together with his wife Janice Alford, Mezzo-Soprano (former Vienna State Opera Studio member, now established Voice teacher in Berlin) are the Team.Coaching, Interpretation and Audition training for your chosen repertoire will be the main work of the course. Alongside this we will be dealing with Repertoire, Presentation, Marketing, Style, general questions concerning the profession and the preparation work needed for the demands of a successful and fulfilling operatic career.
