This module runs in the second session: July 4 - July 25. The class explores the wider business environment and the significance of major global trends. The impact upon international businesses of the global trade institutions and of governments is studied for companies of various sizes and types. Major topics include, foreign direct investment; culture and management practice, assessing the attractiveness of markets, ethics and the management of risk internationally. The decisions and issues faced by international managers are studied from the perspective of various functions including Finance, HRM, Marketing and Operations.

Students with an IELTS score of 6.0 or higherMinimum age: 18

This class aims to:Provide an overview of trends in the global trading environment.Examine the issues arising for businesses operating across several countries.

7.5 ECTS Each Summer School module is worth 15 UK credits. Official Transcripts are provided at the end of the course.
