International Olomouc Summer Young Leaders'' Institute (OSI) is a unique project, the only one of its kind in the Czech republic.
Modeled according to U.S. "Governor''s School" programs, the sessions provide students with the opportunity to enhance their communicationskills in discussing global issues and to attain deeper insight into certain fields of university studies, such as:
a.. Sociology
b.. Ecology
c.. Economy
d.. Politics
e.. Leadership
All students take part in Global Issues and Team Adventure Learning seminars. Current world issues are discussed, with students learning how to lead and facilitate discussion, how to research data to support their positions, how to present their opinions and listen to the opinions of fellow students.
OSI students will also learn how to use reference materials and additional reading while working on their individual and team projects. Tuition is performed by experienced faculty members from Palack University and American universities. However, OSI is not only about classes and discussions. It alsoinvolves a great deal of fun and free time activities, cultural events, field trips and sports. Students can acquire many new friends and also explore the beauties of the Czech Republic.
