First test drives withindividual vehicles have already been successful and raise high expectations onfuture mobility concepts. These range from more convenience in travelling overaccident prevention and improved road logistics to completely self-organizingtraffic with a vast number of fully autonomous and seamlessly interacting cars.Realizing these visions requires substantial research on automotive embeddedcomputing and networking in order to manage the significantly increasedcomplexity of real-time information processing, to deal with the dynamics ofhighly mobile networks among vehicles and the surrounding infrastructure, andto provide the dependability and trustworthiness required for safe traffic andefficient transportation. The target audience is postgraduate students, PhD students, and young researchersfrom universities and industry all over the world who either want to enter or whoalready have experience in this exciting research area. Topics covered by theSummer School are:* Autonomous driving and platooning* Smart infrastructure and smart environments* Vehicular networks and car2X communication* Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)* Automotive hardware/software codesign* Automotive safety and security* HIL testing and simulation* E-Mobility* Experience from real-world scenariosWe also encourage participants to not only attend the lectures from internationalexperts, but to also present their own work during seminar modules.ParticipationThe application process is described under "Participation" in our website, and isopened until May 18, 2015.
