Introduction to Qualitative Research

Participants in the MetLab 2015 Summer School will take four intensive qualitative research methods modules, typically comprising three hours of study each morning and two hours of independent study in the afternoon. Each course is assessed through an optional final examination, enabling the award of a certificate and transcript to successful students.

Target group
Masters and PhD students and professionals. MetLab Research Methods Summer School attracts a cohort of well-informed, engaged students and professionals from around the world. Many of the participants are likely to be graduate professionals working in a wide range of fields including the private and public sectors, as well as NGOs and third sector organisations. A significant proportion of participants will be enrolled at universities and other higher education institutions in their home countries.

To provide a thorough grounding in qualitative approaches to research.

Fee info
CHF 800: The summer school comprises four modules. Modules can be taken as 'stand alone' courses or as part of the summer school package. The combined fee for the summer school (four modules) is CHF2,500
