Introduction to Stata%C2%AE for survival analysis
calendar_month 29 Iul 2015, 00:00
This course is primarily intended for, but not restricted to, students who have registered for the course Statistical methods for population-based cancer survival analysis. The course is designed to introduce students to how basic survival analysis can be done using Stata. The focus will be on demonstrating the use of the software, rather than on the statistical theory for survival analysis therefore some basic knowledge of survival analysis will be assumed. The course will cover the powerful built-in stset command, calculations of rates and survival probabilities, and regression models for survival analysis (primarily Cox and Poisson). Prior experience with Stata is not required but experience with statistical analyses in at least one other statistical software will be helpful.

Course leader
C. Weibull & S. Eloranta (Karolinska Institutet)

Course aim
The course teaches how basic survival analysis can be done using Stata and how to analyse time-to-event data.

Fee info
EUR 250: The fee for attending each Stata course is 400, but students attending summer school courses during the week receive a discounted fee of 250 per course.
