Introduction to the Global Creative and Cultural Industries
calendar_month 29 Iul 2015, 00:00
This course is designed for anyone interested in the history and future of the Creative and Cultural Industries - music, art, design and media. It would suit both those who work, or aspire to work, in the creative sector, and those thinking about studying the arts and media in the future. We will focus on the profound changes over the past two decades - globalisation, digitisation and convergence - and how these processes have transformed the structure of the industries, the relationship between producer and consumers, and the global market for artistic and creative goods. Alongside lectures and discussions on the latest academic perspectives on these changes, we will offer access to some industry insiders and practical sessions aimed at fostering critical thinking and developing transferable skills.
