Target group
This course is aimed at students majoring in Law, Political Science, and International Relations, but open to other interested students who are be able to demonstrate they meet the prerequisites. The prerequisites for participation are an introductory course in law, political science or international relations. Students should have a basic understanding of the European Union as a supranational organisation, its institutions and main areas of competence. Pre-readings are available for interested students who meet the prerequisites but lack a basic understanding of the EU. In addition, students should have a good command of the English language (active and passive).
Course aim
By the end of the course students will have in depth knowledge of: History of European integration and possible outcomes the institutions of the European Union (including the Commission, Council, Eu the decision-making process of the European Union the competences of the European Union the nature and effect of the law of the European Union the internal market EU Enlargement / Member States' attitudes.
