Life Cycle Approaches to Sustainable Regional Development

The objective of the Summer School is to provide advanced training to undergraduate students, doctoral, post-doctoral students and young professionals, including researchers of less than 30 years, in the specialised field of life cycle approaches, with the purpose to help them to foster sustainable regional development. In this way the school will allow the students to acquire transversal skills in the area of sustainable chemistry and engineering that are highly appreciated by research institutions and industrial employers.The school is organised with lectures by experts, interactive focus groups, workshops and a short course in order to provide up-to-date knowledge and to stimulate the sharing of own ideas among participants. School activities take place in the same neighbourhood, where participants are accommodated. Course leader
The course is organized primarily by Prof. Guido Sonnemann, University of Bordeuax, in cooperation with many other experts in the field.

Target group
The course is directed at graduate students and young professionals under 35 from all disciplines and countries engaged in industries, businesses, professional associations, think-tanks, public administrations, academic institutions, international organisations, and NGO.

The overall aim of the summer school is to provide participants with a better understanding of life cycle approaches and its use for regional sustainable development.
