Oxford Summer College is a two week university preparation course held in the heart of Oxford. Oxford and Cambridge continue to be at the forefront of medical research. Our tutors are involved in some pioneering work that is pushing the boundaries of medical science. This course at the Oxford Summer College will cover some of the fundamental areas of medicine such as genetics and anatomy, as well as exploring the difficult questions of medical ethics including euthanasia and stem-cell research. Students will also look at antibiotics and the current issues surrounding bacterial resistance to antibiotics in modern science. Course aim
This course provides a thorough grounding in the both the theoretical and practical skills that a scientist needs and encourages students to consider the profound questions that medicine poses.
Fee info
GBP 3995: The course fee covers all tuition, accommodation and meals in Pembroke College. It also covers all activities, excursions included in the course and airport transfers between Oxford and London. Flights to and from London are not included.
