New Development Cooperation: Breaking the Chains of Poverty

According to the report of Sasakawa Peace Foundation, 35% of the world%E2%80%99s poor live in the countries participating in global economy, but are not able to make their way to a better life. These are the people, which with the help of domestic policies and international support could find the solutions to their situation. The question here is how to address the complex issue of development cooperation, so that even failures would lead to constructive and working solutions. How can we learn to try and fail, and fail better?

Daniel Ogola, Founder of Matibabu Foundation, Andrew Crabtree, Copenhagen Business School, Prof. Franklyn Lisk, Centre for the Study of Globalization and Regionalization, University of Warwick.
Target group
Young academic professionals who are currently students of either undergraduate or graduate degrees in any relevant academic programmes.
Course aim
The Summer School aims at posing some important questions for the new development cooperation, challenge the established order and seek for innovative solutions.
Credits info
Our programs have full accreditation from the Czech Ministry of Education. If you wish to receive credits for attending a summer school, you need to negotiate the amount of credits with your university. In the past many students have counted our programs towards their degree.
Fee info
EUR 680: Early bird applications until January 31, 2015. EUR 750: Final application deadline is until April 30, 2015 for applicants who submit their applications after January 31, 2015.
