Oxford Summer College is a two week university preparation course held in the heart of Oxford. We offer a challenging P&E course for students who may, or may not have studied politics or economics before. Our political and economic institutions determine the way our societies are organized. Students on the P&E course learn about key economic concepts such as, supply and demand, market structure and the role of finance. Students also explore the often troubled relationship between economics and politics and investigate political regimes in different nations.The course gives students vital practice in debating issues where there is no correct answer, and teach students how to apply academic learning to real world situations. Analytical, research and debate skills will be developed throughout this course and students will have a broader understanding of current affairs.Topics will include:o%09Micro-economicso%09US Politicso%09Macro-economicso%09Theory of politicso%09International relationso%09Game Theory

Course aim
To introduce students to the study of politics, economics and the vital role it plays on a nation and international level. Analytical, research and debate skills will be developed over the duration of this course.

Fee info
GBP 3995: The course fee covers all tuition, accommodation and meals in Pembroke College. It also covers all activities, excursions included in the course and airport transfers between Oxford and London. Flights to and from London are not included.
