Positive Psychology: Theory and Practice
calendar_month 29 Iul 2015, 00:00
"What is right about people?" This question is at the heart of positive psychology, which is the scientific and applied approach to uncovering people's strengths and promoting their positive functioning. Positive psychology is about valued subjective experiences: well-being, contentment, and satisfaction (in the past); mindfulness, flow and happiness (in the present); and hope and optimism (for the future).Positive psychology is an applied science: many of the available theories and methods can be directly applied in coaching or clinical settings. Therefore, both the theoretical as well as practical side of positive psychology will be part of this course. Participants will not only learn about the various findings and theories related to positive human functioning, but will also learn to apply different methods and strategies to identify strengths and promote subjective wellbeing.
