Serious gaming is one of the new developments in the business environment that gained increasing awareness recently. ICT accelerated this development. In contrast to playing serious games, game design entails the application of knowledge from the modelled domain to a mode and manner in which this is represented to change the players%E2%80%99 knowledge, attitude, or behaviour with regard to the domain. The Serious Game Design course provides you with a theory-driven play centric approach to serious game design. During the course you will develop, play and validate a serious game in groups. The primary aim of the project is to apply and acquire game design knowledge and domain knowledge through learning by doing. To canalize the practical project management aspects of designing serious games in multidisciplinary teams an agile project management methodology will be applied and used with sprints of two days with peer student sprint reviews every two days.
Target group
Students in their second or third year from their bachelor's programme or entry level master's students with an interest in serious gaming.

EUR 750: This includes a sleeping tent, food and drink consumption and course material. On all our options an early bird discount of EUR 200,-! Register before 1 May. EUR 825: This includes a bed in a log cabin, food and drink consumptions and course material.The third option is a student room for EUR 900,-.
