Summer Programme on the WTO, International Trade and Development

The Graduate Institute has been a long-time neighbour of the GATT secretariat, and later WTO, in Geneva. In addition, it has also developed cutting-edge expertise on the issues and challenges inherent to trade liberalisation and regulation. In its teaching programmes, the Graduate Institute is fortunate to be able to draw on contributions from high-ranking WTO staff and a world-renowned faculty. The Summer Programme on the WTO, International Trade and Development builds upon this long tradition and offers a unique opportunity to observe first-hand the atmosphere and analyses surrounding multilateral trade, as well as witness some of the most important international discussions on the topic.

Target group
Professionals keen to improve their knowledge on major current issues in international tradern- Students at MA level or senior undergraduate level with an interest in international trade and related fields

Course aim
The programme, delivered with the Graduate Institute Centre for Trade and Economic Integration, combines and integrates economic, legal and political analysis of international trade and development. Participants will benefit from input of negotiators, academics and issue-based activists, and will experience the field of international trade firsthand.

Credits info
6 ECTS Participation in the entire programme may be accepted for credit at other universities (6 ECTS credits ; or the US equivalent). All participants will receive a course certificate.

Fee info
CHF 2800: The tuition fee includes teaching costs, course material and the use of Graduate Institute facilities. It does not include travel or accommodation expenses.

Scholarships
Unfortunately, the Programme is unable to provide any financial assistance to candidates.
